Help the Survivor Movement

Help the Survivor Movement with financial support.

Why Give?

"The reason I see fund-raising as foremost in importance is that the best way to help us is to help us help ourselves. As a group we need empowerment more than handouts" - Anne Hagan Webb, Survivor and Survivor Activist
Survivors need many resources. Many survivors are unable to work, on disability or chronic under-earners without health care coverage. The explosion of press coverage has caused the 100,000+ survivors to come forward and seek help. While the Roman Catholic Church has 14 treatment centers for priests, services for victims are quite limited.

Money is needed to administer costs for healing and prevention. Survivor activist groups are all-volunteer organizations and volunteers put in hundreds of hours. Expenses include:

Expenses for Healing: printing costs for Survivor Starter Kits which include information about self-help programs, support groups, and publicly available therapy options; reimbursement money for cell phone bills and long distance victim-support services; maintenance of website with self-help message boards and resource information; emergency fund, etc.

Expenses for Public Education and Prevention: costs for renting rooms and equipment for press conferences and protests, cell phone and long distance reimbursement for calls to reporters; money for signs and website; expenses for conference calls to coordinate volunteers, printing costs for materials for reporters and lawmakers to educate them on the problem, etc.
